A professional Kabaddi league is launched in India
Many Indians claim Kabaddi as their national sport and millions play - whether informally, at school, or in one of the 4,000 or so clubs across the country.
But despite requiring no equipment and very little space, in most parts of the country its popularity and profile is dwarfed by other games - especially cricket.
Now Mashal Sports has launched the Pro Kabaddi League in an effort to widen the audience and make the sport more commercial.
Eight teams from across India will play rounds of matches in each of the competing cities over six weeks.
