Unemployment figures 'remarkable' says Iain Duncan Smith

The fall in unemployment over the last quarter is "remarkable", according to Work and Pensions Secretary Iain Duncan Smith.

Official figures show UK unemployment edged closer to a six-year low in the three months to the end of June.

Unemployment now stands at 6.5% - its lowest rate since 2008 - but average wages increased by a record low of 0.6%.
