Asda pay lawsuit: 'Women's work is of equal value'
Asda, the UK's second largest retailer, is facing a mass legal action by women who work in their stores.
The women claim they are not paid the same as male workers in the distribution warehouses and more than 1,000 employment tribunal claims have already been lodged.
Lauren Lougheed, a solicitor with the firm which is leading the case, said she was confident that "the work that the women do in the stores is of equal value to the work that men are doing in the distribution centres".
