Tesco book-keeping to be investigated

Tesco's book-keeping over the past three years is to be scrutinised by the UK's independent disciplinary body for accountants.

The Financial Reporting Council will investigate the work of PwC, the supermarket's auditors, after Tesco mis-stated its half-year profit guidance by more than £250m.

The scandal is already being investigated by the Serious Fraud Office.
