Tesco CEO: 'There's an awful lot more we need to do'

Tesco chief executive Dave Lewis has said its decision to close 43 stores in the UK is about "recognising the financial reality".

The supermarket chain announced the closures as part of measures aimed at improving its financial performance.

The firm is also cancelling plans to open a further 49 new "very large" stores.

When asked about Black Friday, Mr Lewis said they did not want to see a repeat of some of the scenes when fighting broke out over bargains.
