British Gas to reduce a typical annual bill by £37

British Gas, the UK's biggest domestic energy supplier, is cutting household gas prices by 5%.

The change will reduce a typical household's annual energy bill by £37.

The energy company said the reduction reflected the recent fall in wholesale gas prices, and comes after its rival E-On, cut prices by 3.5% last week.
