GDP quarterly growth figures 'fairly solid', says ONS

The UK economy grew by 0.5% in the final three months of last year, the Office for National Statistics' chief economist Joe Grice has said.

Speaking to the BBC, he said that this means overall growth of 2.6% for 2014.

He described growth figures as "fairly respectable, fairly solid, but a little bit down as compared to where we were in the third quarter".
