Indian Vistara airline targeting premium customers

The airline industry in India is not for the faint hearted. Almost all Indian operators are haemorrhaging money.

But that hasn't stopped a new entrant - a joint venture between Tata and Singapore Airlines called Vistara, which recently took to the skies after the sector was opened up to foreign investment.

It offers a more premium service than low cost carriers. But why does it think it will succeed where others haven't?
