Tough times for Kingfisher Airlines king Vijay Mallya

The collapse of Kingfisher Airlines in 2012 was an embarrassment for India's aviation industry and the businessman behind it - Vijay Mallya.

Mr Mallya, the former billionaire who founded the Kingfisher beer brand, is well-known for his party lifestyle and friends in high places.

Now a bank has declared him a "wilful defaulter" over debts the airline venture has racked up, which is having a knock-on effect for other companies he is involved in.

The BBC's Sameer Hashmi reports for India Business Report.
