VW manipulated diesel tests in Europe, says German minister

The German transport minister says Volkswagen has admitted diesel cars in Europe have been fitted with the same software as cars in the US used to cheat emissions tests.

It means potentially VW cars in Britain may be more polluting than previously thought.

The body which regulates cars in the UK is investigating whether other car manufacturers are also cheating the tests.

John Moylan reports.
