Will China loosen its Facebook policy?

Facebook chief executive Mark Zuckerberg sent a friend request of sorts to China's President Xi Jinping when he spoke to him in Mandarin at a meeting of tech chiefs in Seattle last week.

Asia is a major market for the social media giant, but it's banned in China.

So, is China likely to loosen its rules, and will users elsewhere in Asia continue to click the like button?
