John Lewis boss: 'Tough' groceries market

The chairman of John Lewis, Sir Charlie Mayfield, says that the grocery market is "tough". His comments follow a 1.4% fall in like-for-like sales at its Waitrose supermarkets, for the six weeks to 2 January. Overall sales at John Lewis Partnership were up 4.1%. Today programme business presenter, Simon Jack, spoke to Sir Charlie and started by asking him if Black Friday was a good thing for retailers.
