Contactless customers urged to 'check' before they tap

More than £9bn was spent in the first half of 2016 using contactless cards.

It is a technology that continues to soar in popularity as more pubs, retailers, food outlets and transport networks accept payments with just the tap of a bank card - no need to remember a PIN or sign your name.
