European Commission rejects Apple 'politics' claim

The European Commission has rejected accusations from Apple that a ruling on the firm's Irish tax status was political.

Apple Chief Executive Tim Cook told Irish radio that the decision was "maddening and disappointing".

The European Commission's Competition Commissioner, Magrethe Vestager, responded on Thursday to Cook's comments, saying that the Commission's decision had nothing to do with politics
