Successful UK technology firms have 'sold out too early'

One of the UK's leading fund managers, Neil Woodford, says that successful UK technology firms have "sold out too early", preventing them from becoming global giants like Google and Apple.

He argues that often those firms have been put under pressure by their investors to sell.

His comments come after a series of UK technology firms, including chip designer ARM and keyboard software firm Swiftkey, have been sold to bigger overseas firms.
