People in less affluent parts of the UK spend a higher proportion of their income on Christmas presents.

That's according to an analysis by BBC 5 Live's Wake Up To Money, which matched official regional income figures with a Christmas spending forecast from the Centre For Retail Research.

We asked parents in Kirkby, Merseyside where incomes are below the average, and those in Wilmslow, Cheshire, where they are higher, how much they are spending on their children this year.
