Vegan food firm Beyond Meat valued at $1.5bn

The US company Beyond Meat - which makes vegan burgers and sausages - has made its share debut on New York's Nasdaq stock exchange.

The flotation has made it a "unicorn" - a company valued at more than $1bn. Beyond Meat sells its products around the world, and expects a big shift to meat substitutes in the future.
