NAHT: Teachers 'should not be bound by curriculum'
The leader of the head teachers' union says children's education is being undermined by the number of targets being imposed by the government.
Russell Hobby, the general secretary of the NAHT, will tell a conference in Birmingham that the impact of managing schools by data could be similar to what happened at the Mid-Staffordshire NHS Trust.
Mr Hobby said targets were undermining teachers' work in the classroom.
