Two As, one B, no university place

Hundreds of thousands of students are receiving their A-level results - but while many will be thrilled with their results, others will miss out on a university place.

The BBC's Sophie van Brugen has been speaking to students in Greater Manchester about their hopes and fears for the future.

Sarah earned two As and a B, but said that had not been enough to secure her a place to study medicine.

It was a similar story for Zack. He wanted to study forensics and criminology at Hull University, but missed out on the required grades.
