What happens if a school is failing?

There has been a big jump in the number of schools in England rated as good or outstanding by Ofsted, it means hundreds of thousands of pupils are now getting a better education.

But the proportion of schools judged to be inadequate by inspectors has stayed roughly the same.

So what happens when Ofsted hands out its lowest rating? Should staff at better performing schools be doing more to help out?
