Teachers' union NASUWT warning on pupil poverty
Teachers say they are seeing increasing levels of poverty, with pupils arriving at school hungry and not wearing the right clothes for the weather.
A survey of members of the NASUWT teachers' union suggests that schools are increasingly having to deal with the consequences of poor housing and poverty, including bringing in food for children.
The government says the number of children in poverty has fallen by 300,000 under the coalition government.
