Cameron's pledge not to raise NI or VAT
David Cameron has promised there would be no increase in the key taxes, if the Conservatives won the general election.
He said there would be a guarantee enshrined in law that income tax, National Insurance and VAT would not be raised in the next parliament.
The Labour leader Ed Miliband said the promise was nothing more than a last-minute gimmick.
Labour has pledged to increase tax credits over the next parliament.
