Election 2015: Cameron on avoiding coalition compromise

David Cameron has said he will fight with everything he has got to avoid having to go into coalition and make policy compromises in a "dark room with Nick Clegg or someone".

"I'm going to spend the next seven days flat out for victory... rather than have the manifesto bartered away in a dark room," he told the Question Time election special.

Pushed by a member of the public, Mr Cameron said his 'red line' was a referendum on EU membership: "I will not lead a government that does not deliver that pledge."
