US election 2016: Donald Trump storms to victory in South Carolina

Donald Trump has won a clear victory in the South Carolina Republican primary, cementing his status as the man to beat for his party's nomination.

Jeb Bush announced he was pulling out of the race after coming a disappointing fourth.

In the Democrats' contest, Hillary Clinton won the party's caucuses in Nevada, overcoming a strong challenge from her rival, Bernie Sanders.
