Joe Biden: US democracy proved to be 'resilient and strong'

US President-elect Joe Biden has said the country's democracy was "pushed, tested and threatened" and "proved to be resilient, true and strong".

Mr Biden was speaking after his election victory was confirmed by the US electoral college.
