The Road to Coronation Street tells the story of the show's creator Tony Warren and how he managed to get the show made. The first ever programme aired in December 1960 from Granada Studios in Manchester.
Actor James Roache who plays his real father Bill aka Ken Barlow in the current soap and director Charles Sturridge chatted to BBC Breakfast about the making of The Road to Coronation Street.
