Carell on making a film without ever meeting co-stars

Actor Steve Carell, who starred in the American version of The Office, graced the red carpet for the premiere of the new animated comedy Despicable Me, in London's Leicester Square.

Carell, who recently starred with Paul Rudd in Dinner For Schmucks, voices the character of the villain Gru.

He explained how he recorded his parts during the making of Despicable Me without actually meeting any of his co-stars, including Russell Brand and Julie Andrews.
