Stars open London Film Festival

The film, Never Let Me Go, kicked off the London Film Festival, the first of nearly 200 features that will be shown over two weeks.

The film's stars, Keira Knightly, Carey Mulligan and Andrew Garfield, graced the red carpet.

But even the appearance of three of Britain's most successful actors was overshadowed by the main talk of the festival so far and how the proposed cuts to arts funding would hit the UK film industry.
