Sherlock Holmes to appear in new novel

With his deerstalker hat and his trademark pipe he is one of literature's most famous detectives.

Now, it has been revealed that Sherlock Holmes is to be resurrected in a new full length novel written more than 80 years after the death of his creator, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
