Judge warns Lohan she could go to jail

A Los Angeles judge has warned actress Lindsay Lohan that she will go to jail if she accepts a plea deal relating to charges in her jewellery theft case.

She is accused of stealing a necklace worth over £1,500 ($2,500).

Judge Keith L. Schwartz gave the 24 year-old two weeks to decide if she would accept a plea deal offered by prosecutors, or go ahead with a full trial.

Later, her father Michael Lohan spoke outside court to offer his support to the troubled actress.
