Alice Cooper brings live snake to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

Controversial musician Alice Cooper has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, dressed in an shirt splattered with fake blood and accompanied on stage by a live snake.

The shock rocker was honoured alongside singers Neil Diamond and Tom Waits as well as songwriter Leon Russell, who was awarded for recording excellence.

The long-time session artist, best known for his 1970 hit single A Song For You, has worked with Joe Cocker, George Harrison and most recently Sir Elton John.
