Jackson audio played in court at manslaughter trial

Michael Jackson's personal physician, Conrad Murray, has gone on trial in Los Angeles, charged with involuntary manslaughter of the singer, a charge he denies.

The court heard a recording of the singer slurring while talking about planned comeback concerts.

Chief prosecutor, David Walgren, said the audio, heard in public for the first time, had come from Dr Murray's mobile phone.

Mr Walgren added that the recording, in which Jackson's voice is barely recognisable, showed that the medic ought to have realised the star should not have taken any more propofol.
