Tony Blackburn: 'Jimmy Savile was a one-off'

The DJ Tony Blackburn has paid tribute to his former radio colleague Sir Jimmy Savile who has died at the age of 84.

Blackburn said he was a "larger than life character" but also lonely.

Savile was one of the country's first DJs in the 1950s and began his broadcasting career at Radio Luxembourg before moving to the BBC.

He was knighted by the Queen in 1990 for his charity work.
