Golden Globe: Silent film The Artist wins three prizes

Silent film The Artist scooped three prizes at the Golden Globe awards in Los Angeles, hosted by British comedian Ricky Gervais.

The black and white movie was named best comedy and won additional prizes for lead actor Jean Dujardin and its score.

Other lead actor awards went to Meryl Streep for The Iron Lady and Michelle Williams for My Week with Marilyn.
