British folk singer Nic Jones to perform again
Thirty years ago the English folk singer Nic Jones was at the top of his game.
His fifth album, Penguin Eggs, had shot him to stardom beyond the esoteric world of folk music.
Then on his way back from a gig one February night, his car hit a brick lorry near Peterborough in the east of England and the crash nearly killed him.
His injuries were so severe he lost his livelihood. He can no longer play fiddle and his guitar-playing is now considerably diminished.
But this year, after painstaking rehabilitation, Nic Jones is preparing to make a few appearances at festivals, with his son Joe playing the guitar.
