Herzog's film explores lives of prisoners on death row
Director Werner Herzog told BBC Radio 5 live Breakfast about some of the prisoners on death row that he met as part of his latest documentary.
In the documentary, called Into The Abyss: A Tale of Death, A Tale of Life, he explores the lives of several people due to be executed, including one man who just became a father.
The film, rated 12A, is released on Friday.
