Classical group Amore: 'Opera is changing'

A chance meeting at a coffee shop between bosses at Warner Brothers and a tutor from the Royal College of Music has made a group of singers dreams come true.

After a band member overheard a conversation about the need for a fresh classical group, Amore formed a four piece and they are now about to release their debut album, Stand Together.

The group is made up of four friends, soprano Monica McGhee, baritone Peter Brathwaite, mezzo soprano Victoria Gray and tenor David Webb.

Webb told BBC Breakfast that he thinks opera is undergoing a change from "just singing".

He said: "It's about acting, it's about movement, it's everything."
