Liza Minnelli on 40 years of Cabaret
Liza Minnelli has defended the 1972 film, Cabaret, during a celebration marking the 40th anniversary of its release.
Minnelli, who won a best actress Oscar for her part as Sally Bowles, said the movie was an interesting portrayal of the 1930s and and not "a frivolous musical".
The film opened the third TCM Classic Movie Festival - which honours Hollywood's film history.
