Sam Mendes: 'Craig can take Bond to another level'

The cast and crew of the new Bond film, Skyfall, are in Turkey filming scenes for the latest 007 adventure.

Director Sam Mendes told a press conference that he felt it was important to have Daniel Craig in the title role.

Craig, who is playing Bond for the third time, praised his co-stars Berenice Marlohe and Naomie Harris.

He said: "They're serious actresses who are really stamping their mark on this film and it has been a joy working with both of them."

The storyline will take Bond to London, China, Turkey and Scotland but Mendes said he is cautious not to reduce the locations into clichés.
