Carrie Underwood wins top honour at CMT Music Awards

Country music singer Carrie Underwood has scooped video of the year for Good Girl at the CMT Music Awards in Nashville on Wednesday.

Along with the top honour at the awards the former American Idol winner also won collaborative video of the year award with Brad Paisley for Remind Me.

Other winners of the night included Jason Aldean for performance of the year and Miranda Lambert for female video of the year.

The awards are determined by a public vote on the best music videos for country performers.
