Charlotte Church voices post-Leveson Inquiry concerns

Campaigners against press intrusion, including the singer Charlotte Church, have met Prime Minister David Cameron at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham.

She told the BBC she wanted an independent regulator, not self-regulation, which ''hasn't worked for a long time''.

She added that she was not in favour of ''muzzling'' the press, but wanted assurances that the Leveson Inquiry into media ethics had not been in vain.
