BBC's 1950s drama The Hour returns

The Hour, a BBC Two drama, set in a highly pressurised 1950s television newsroom will return to our screens for a second series next week.

Starring Ben Whishaw, Romola Garai and Dominic West, the show follows the relationship between female producer Bell Rowley, reporter Freddy Lyon and anchor Hector Madden.

In the first series the drama of The Hour's newsroom was set against the backdrop of the Suez Crisis and the emergence of rock and roll. This time it is the station's own journalists who have become the celebrities making the headlines.
