Kraftwerk 'curate their own legacy'
Starting this evening, electronic music pioneers Kraftwerk will be playing their entire back catalogue in a series of concerts at Tate Modern.
Demand for tickets has been phenomenal, with the gallery's website crashing the moment they went on sale.
Over the past four decades, the German group has achieved international recognition for their musical experimentation with tapes and synthesizers.
Andy McCluskey, lead singer of Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and one of few with tickets, told Today presenter Justin Webb that "they were incredibly good... there's point being a conceptual band if you haven't got the musical ability to back it".
