Will Gompertz: Fewer British films being made
The Baftas took place at the Royal Opera House in London on Sunday evening.
Skyfall won Outstanding British Film after what was a strong year for British cinema, but the BBC's arts editor Will Gompertz says the UK film industry actually shrunk in 2012.
Speaking to the Today programme's Sarah Montague, he said: "British cinema has had an okay year, in so much as audiences have been going to the cinemas in big numbers, but actually investment fell by nearly 30% and that resulted in fewer British films being made."
First broadcast on BBC Radio 4's Today Programme on Monday 11 February 2013.
