Gay TV sitcom Vicious could offend, says Biggins

A new sitcom called Vicious starts tonight on ITV that focuses on a gay couple played by Sir Ian McKellen and Sir Derek Jacobi.

Sir Ian says the show proves that TV "has grown up" and that gay characters are no longer the "figures of fun" they used to be.

The actor Christopher Biggins, and Times TV critic Andrew Billen spoke to the Today programme's Justin Webb.
