JK Rowling on having a pseudonym
It has emerged that Harry Potter author JK Rowling has secretly written a crime novel under the guise of male debut writer Robert Galbraith.
The book, called The Cuckoo's Calling, had sold 1,500 copies before the secret emerged in the Sunday Times.
Speaking in 2001, JK Rowling said she found the idea of writing under a pseudonym appealing, but she believed her chances of not being found out were "incredibly remote".
