Batman and Superman to co-star in film for first time

Superheroes Batman and Superman will appear together in a film for the first time, it has been announced during San Diego's world famous Comic-Con.

Man of Steel director Zack Snyder said production will begin next year and the film should be released in summer 2015.

While a new Batman is yet to be cast, British actor Henry Cavill - seen here with the first issue of Action Comics, in which Superman debuted - will return as Clark Kent.
