'Fearless' play Nirbhaya tackles sexual violence in India

A play inspired by the gang rape and subsequent death of a student in Delhi has been shown as part of Edinburgh's Fringe Festival.

Nirbhaya - meaning fearless - sees six Indian women telling their own, real stories of sexual violence.

The play, by acclaimed South African playwright Yael Farber, aims to reveal the widespread, everyday sexual violence in India and to break the traditional silence surrounding it.
