Getting ready for an Emmy

The world of television will celebrate its biggest night this weekend when this year's Emmy Awards are handed out.

Host Neil Patrick Harris has been overseeing the final show preparations at LA's Nokia Theatre ahead of Sunday's extravaganza, whilst nominee Kerry Washington has stepped out at a pre-Emmy party.

Kerry is the first black actress in nearly two decades to be nominated in the lead actress category for her role in the TV show Scandal.
