Gromit proves to be the most popular dog in Bristol
A Gromit exhibition has proved so popular in Bristol that health and safety officials have been called in to manage the crowds.
It started as a simple idea of dotting 80 Gromit statues around the city centre to help raise funds for Bristol Children's Hospital, the challenge being to find them all.
Public response has 'surpassed' expectations and all of the Gromits have now been housed in a large gallery for people to come and see them under one roof.
Queues have extended to such lengths that gallery stewards have had to close the exhibition at times.
